He never planned on working for a church, but God obviously had different plans for Frank, who joined the church staff in March 1998. Frank calls himself a jack-of-all-trades. He’s an artist, photographer, graphic designer, and overall print shop guru. He can pretty much do it all.
Frank was raised in a broken home around drugs and alcohol, but has, with the help of God, chosen a different path for himself and his family. He is thankful for his wife, Michelle, who has helped him focus on family togetherness. Togetherness in the Lugenbeel house comes in many forms. Even though Frank’s athletic career began and ended in middle school, he has come to love the sport of volleyball and his two daughters excel at it. Frank is not only a volleyball dad, but a coach and league director as well. He also loves to spend time with his son whether watching him perform with A Time to Dance or playing video games.
Psalm 34:8 is Frank’s favorite verse because tasting and seeing are very physical and tangible things, not just ethereal religious ponderings.
“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” Psalm 34:8
