We are so glad you are joining us for the Heart of America Christmas Pageant this year. We know you might have some questions before coming, so here are some answers to our most frequently asked questions. If the answers you are looking for are not below, please call the Pageant Information Line at 816-778-1153 and leave a message. One of our volunteers will get back to you.
How long does the performance last?
Approximately 90 minutes.
How soon should I get there?
We recommend you get here at least 30 minutes before the start of the performance. If you are coming to a Saturday afternoon performance, we recommend you come an hour early. If that is not possible, you should get here at least 45 minutes early.
Is there a charge for parking?
We have plenty of parking and all of it is free. However, not all of it is adjacent to the building. The sooner you get here, the better parking spot you will get. We have parking attendants to help you find that perfect spot for you.
Do you provide child care?
No, sorry, we cannot provide child care for our audience. State law requires a qualified worker per a specified number of children. We have no way of planning workers when we do not know how many children to expect. We do have an area in the front lobby, however, where restless children can play and parents can watch the program on closed-circuit television.
Are there stairs?
Most of our seating is on the main level of our Worship Center and there are no stairs to get there. We do have a balcony that can be accessed by either stairs or elevators.
Do you have spaces for wheelchairs?
We have very limited areas for wheelchairs and they will be used on a first come, first served basis. We suggest you get here a minimum of 45 minutes early if you need this seating, an hour early if you are attending an afternoon performance.
Can I come without a ticket?
Yes, you can. However, the ushers will not seat you until 15 minutes before the start of the performance. At that time, all tickets are void and anyone without a ticket will be seated as long as seating remains. We don’t recommend that you come without a ticket on a Saturday afternoon. Those are our most-attended performances.
